Workshop on Equivariant stable homotopy theory and parametrized higher category theory

University of Glasgow, 7th-10th December 2015

Supported by the School of Mathematics & Statistics and the University of Glasgow, the Fulbright Commission and the Glasgow Mathematical Journal Learning and Research Support Fund.

This will be a four-day workshop featuring a series of talks by Prof. Clark Barwick (University of Glasgow Fulbright Visiting Professor /MIT) Equivariant stable homotopy theory via parametrized higher category theory, and additional talks on related topics.

The programme will begin on Monday 7th December 2015 when there will be a Scottish Topology Seminar with talks by Clark Barwick, Andrew Lobb and Stefan Schwede, for details see

http://hodge.maths.ed.ac.uk/tiki/Scottish+Topology+Seminar

On Tuesday 8th, Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th, Clark will give three more talks and there will be a series of additional talks by other participants.

Schedule (with links to pdf files of some talks)

It would be helpful if intending participants for the Tuesday-Thursday part of the programme would email me to let me know they are coming, and to obtain advice on local accommodation. Offers of talks are also welcomed (please send a title and brief abstract).

We have limited funds to support some participants who are unable to cover costs from other sources, if you would like to be considered for such support please contact me as soon as possible.

Directions on getting here If you are coming from the Airport by the Airport Bus, it may be easier to get off near Queen Street Station and walk to Buchanan Street Subway station. The Heritage Hotel is top right in the map, nearest subway station is Kelvin Bridge. Nearest subway station for the Mathematics Building is Hillhead; we are right opposite the Queen Margaret Union (just above the Google symbol).
