Authors are invited to submit papers on any aspect of electromagnetics relating to complex media. The scope of the meeting encompasses a broad spectrum from fundamental theoretical work to technological applications for novel devices from the microwave to the optical regimes.

The conference/workshop will comprise 5-6 half-day sessions on a variety of research concerned with theory and applications of complex (i.e., chiral, anisotropic, bianisotropic, nonhomogeneous, nonlocal, nonlinear, random) media. There will be a mixture of special talks by key speakers, contributed papers and posters, and a round-table discussion in a multidisciplinary environment, bringing together applied mathematicians, physicists, engineers, material scientists from universities and industries.

The registration fee of GBP 70 (reduced rate of GBP 35 for students) includes one copy of the Proceedings and attendance of the conference dinner. Assistance with accommodation arrangements will be provided by the organizers.

Abstract deadline: 10 February 1997

The Abstract should not exceed 1 page in length when printed single-spaced on A4 paper in fontsize 11pt. It should contain complete mailing address, fax number and email address of the corresponding author. If possible, submission should be via email in LATEX format. (Related variants of TEX and plain ascii files are welcome too; for any other word processing formats please contact the organizer before electronic submission.) A LATEX style file can be made available upon request or downloaded from the WWW server.
