Mathematics Masterclasses - Strathclyde Series 2007 - 08

Sponsored by The W M Mann Foundation

The new series of Masterclasses starts on Saturday, October 27. There will be 6 sessions, for which the timetable is displayed below.

Schools in the former Strathclyde Region are invited to nominate S3 pupils for a place.

The Masterclasses are organised by the Mathematics Department at Glasgow, and all the sessions take place in the Mathematics Building. They run for 2.5 hours, from 10.00 - 12.30. A link to the campus map showing the Maths Building is http://www.dcs.gla.ac.uk/general/3D_campus_map/d/

The Masterclasses are part of a nationwide series that are run under the auspices of the Royal Institution. In addition, the RI has a website for pupils interested in Mathematics, http://www.nrich.maths.org.uk/

Information about the Mathematics Department can be obtained from our webpage http://www.maths.gla.ac.uk/ . There are lots of interesting links for both students and school pupils to follow there, at all sorts of levels.
