Fundamentals of Pure Mathematics 2012/13.

Class meets 12:10-13:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays in Lecture Theatre A, JCMB.

Workshops have already begun, and take place every week on Thursdays in 3217 JCMB.

Some people have asked for suggestions of further reading material. You are not required to read these, but here are some that might interest you:
  • Algebra by Mike Artin. The library entry is here
  • There are many good free online notes on Group Theory. For example, some good online notes (covering much of what we do, but at a slightly higher level) can be found here.
