This one day meeting is funded by the London Mathematical Society Celebrating new appointments grant scheme, to celebrate the appointment of the organiser Rachael Boyd at the University of Glasgow.
The theme for the meeting is Topology of Artin groups and the invited speakers are:

Alexandre Martin - Heriot-Watt University
Giovanni Paolini - University of Bologna
All talks are in room 311B of the University of Glasgow Mathematics and Statistics building, University Place, Glasgow.

14.15 - 15.15: The Isomorphism Problem for Artin groups, Alexandre Martin.

16.00 - 17.00: From Artin Monoids to Artin Groups, Ruth Charney.
